Cowculator ("we", "our", "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard information when you use cowculator.com and our cattle carrying capacity calculator.
Short version: We don't store your property locations. We don't sell your data. The calculator queries USDA's public API directly from your browser — we never see those coordinates.
When you visit our website, standard server and analytics logs may include your IP address, browser type, operating system, pages visited, and referring website. This data is aggregated and anonymized.
When you draw a polygon and query USDA data, that request is made directly from your browser to the USDA Soil Data Access API. We do not proxy or log those requests. We do not store polygon coordinates.
If you sign up for a premium subscription, we collect your email address and payment information. Payment data is processed by Stripe — we never see or store your full card details. Premium users who opt to save polygons have that data stored in their account only.
Free-tier pages display ads served by Google AdSense. Google may use cookies to personalize ads based on your browsing history. You can opt out at google.com/settings/ads. Premium subscribers see no ads.
We use Google Analytics to understand traffic patterns. All data is anonymized. You can opt out using the Google Analytics Opt-out Add-on.

The calculator queries this public government API using coordinates from the polygon you draw. These queries go directly from your browser to USDA servers — Cowculator does not relay or log them.
We use cookies to remember your preferences and maintain login sessions for premium users. Third-party cookies from Google are used for analytics and advertising. You can control cookies through your browser settings.
All data transmission is encrypted via HTTPS (enforced by Cloudflare). Premium user data is stored in encrypted databases with access controls. No system is 100% secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time. To exercise these rights, email privacy@cowculator.com. California residents have additional rights under CCPA; EU/EEA residents have rights under GDPR — contact us to exercise them.
Cowculator is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
We may update this policy. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance.
